The Opportunity
Bathurst Emergency Department offers ED registrars a high-yield regional locum with strong exposure to acute presentations, trauma, and procedural work in a well-supported team environment. The department provides a good balance of autonomy and senior support, making it ideal for registrars wanting to build confidence and broaden their rural emergency experience. This busy ED sees roughly 26,000 presentations annually and is supported by ICU (Level 4), coronary care, inpatient medical and surgical teams, paediatrics, mental health, radiology, pathology, and on-site specialist services.
