About This Job

Engineering Technician 1‑4 (Office Tech.) – Assist the Project Engineer and other employees in Construction Unit 206 in the daily activities and responsibilities of the construction office. The position is located in District 61, Unit 206, Ascension Parish of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the Project Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• OR six months of experience in sub‑professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance.

Job Duties

• Utilize thorough knowledge of department procedures, policies, and specifications to complete construction documents and certifications.
• Interpret contract documentation to ensure compliance with Federal requirements such as EEO, DBE, and certified payrolls.
