Environmental Services Tech

Position Summary The Environmental Services Technician maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the rehabilitation facility. This role supports infection prevention, patient safety, and overall patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Clean and disinfect patient rooms, therapy areas, restrooms, and common spaces Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper PPE use Remove trash and biohazard waste per guidelines Replenish supplies and maintain cleaning equipment Perform terminal cleaning of discharged rooms Respond to spills and special cleaning needs Provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Healthcare or housekeeping experience preferred Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team
