Equipment Delivery Assistant/Driver
Cranford Hospice has electric beds which we loan to patients to better their quality of life.
Volunteers work in pairs to collect beds from the hospice based in Hastings and deliver to patients in Hastings/Napier; and then collect them when they are no longer required.
This is the type of person we are looking for:
- A caring nature as you are going into patient’s homes at a difficult time as the patient can be very unwell
- Some bed parts weigh about 30kgs and they are loaded into a small truck, so physical fitness is required
- It is important to have empathy and sensitivity
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Reliability and integrity
- Respect of cultural diversity is essential
- Time Commitment: Tuesday & Friday mornings 9.30am – 12pm & Wednesday afternoon 12pm – 3pm
A Ministry of Justice background check is required.
