Job Description
Position Overview
The ESS Technician is responsible for supporting all Electronic Security Systems (ESS) maintenance activities at Fort Benning. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of security and low-voltage systems to ensure full operational functionality and compliance with DoD and Army standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ESS components, including:
Access control systems (badge readers, panels, door hardware)
CCTV / video surveillance systems
Intrusion detection systems (IDS)
Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (data, voice, and security)
Install conduit, junction boxes, and system panels per project specifications
Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions across:
Access control
Surveillance systems
Fire alarms and related security infrastructure
