Who we want to meet

We are looking for a GIS Developer – Utility Networks Specialist (ESRI) to join a leading multinational engineering and infrastructure consultancy with over 70 years of history and presence in more than 55 countries. The team focuses on the digitalization and modelling of critical infrastructure networks — electricity, water, gas, and telecommunications — using the ESRI platform for clients across Spain and Europe.


Location: Remote (Portugal) | Working on projects for Spain

Languages: Spanish (mandatory) | Portuguese (native or fluent)


Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Utility Networks in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise for distribution networks (electricity, water, gas, telecommunications)
  • Design and model network structures (subtypes, connectivity rules, domains, network hierarchies) based on client requirements
  • Manage corporate geodatabases, ensuring topological integrity and data quality
  • Develop Python (ArcPy) scripts and automations for geospatial data loading, transformation and validation
  • Implement Field Maps, Collector for ArcGIS or other mobile apps for field data capture
  • Integrate GIS models with client corporate systems (ERP, SCADA, legacy GIS) via REST/SOAP web services and ESRI APIs
  • Perform data migrations from legacy formats (CAD, shapefiles, proprietary databases) to the ESRI Utility Networks model
  • Produce technical documentation: data model specifications, user manuals, load and quality reports
  • Participate in project follow-up meetings with both internal teams and clients


Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of GIS experience (minimum 1 year working with the ESRI suite on real projects )
  • Proven experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Solid knowledge of ESRI Utility Networks data model : configuration, network hierarchies, connectivity rules and subtypes
  • Proficiency in enterprise and file geodatabases
  • Python programming skills , particularly with ArcPy
  • Knowledge of spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server with spatial extension)
  • Spanish: advanced or bilingual level (mandatory)
  • English: advanced level (valuable for technical documentation and international communication)
