Fire & Safety Assistant Specialist

The Fire & Safety Team within the LR Global Technical Support Office has a strong specialisation in design review for Type Approval and MED Certification of Lifesaving products for marine vessels and offshore facilities, which are Certified in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Flag State Requirements and Classification Rules and International Standards. The team is also responsible for approval of novel lifesaving appliances at the leading edge of technology

The Fire & Safety Team mainly carries out Type Approval, MED Certification, plan appraisal and consultancy in the areas of marine vessels and offshore facilities according to a range of statutory codes and rules, international standards etc. The work the Fire & Safety Team carries‑out has helped cement LR’s position as one of the leading class society in the maritime industry.
