Full-Time Special Education Teacher

Description

: St. Ambrose Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher with a background in math and/or Latin to support students with learning differences, particularly dyslexia, in Geometry, Algebra 2, and Latin I. This role includes co-teaching, individualized support, and developing dyslexia-friendly curriculum. The ideal candidate is passionate about inclusive education and skilled in multi-sensory instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Co-teach Geometry, Algebra 2, and Latin I with classroom teachers.

Support students with Learning Support (LS) plans through differentiated instruction.

Develop dyslexia-friendly curriculum using Math and Latin texts.

Incorporate multi-sensory teaching strategies (auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic).

Create instructional videos, reference charts, and modified pacing guides.

Provide weekly one-on-one support sessions for students.
