In support of the Chief Engineer (CENG), the FIC Officer also provides technical and engineering support, applying sound judgement to ensure munition contracts, below‑the‑line engineering activities and associated industry deliverables remain fit for purpose and aligned with FIC requirements. This includes supporting the review and assurance of engineering submissions, technical data packages and Engineering Management System (EMS) inputs, contributing to configuration control activities, and identifying when additional industry engagement, clarification or technical revision is required.
