General Accountant - Retail

Job Description

- Support accountants with daily accounting tasks and operations.
- Guide accounting staff in processing and recording accounting transactions properly.
- Review and verify the accuracy of accounting entries and transactions.
- Calculate and process the monthly average cost of goods sold.
- Ensure all account ending balances are accurate and consistent with detailed reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing and prepare financial statements.
- Provide accounting and financial data to the Board of Directors or relevant departments upon request.
- Clarify accounting figures and provide supporting documents/data to tax authorities and auditors when required.
- Consolidate and summarize accounting data for reconciliation or other requests from management.
- Maintain and archive accounting records and documents in compliance with regulations.
