Overview
Glazier, curtain walls or equivalent experience. On-site client service in commercial and retail settings, including installation, repair and maintenance of glass products and curtain wall systems.
Responsibilities
- Determine kind of glass, structures and materials needed
- Measure, mark and cut glass
- Set glass panes in frames; install premade glass, mirrors or glass products
- Mount doors, windows and other hardware
- Repair glass doors and other glass frameworks
- Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
- Read and translate plans, maps, illustrations and specifications
- Operate at elevations, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Work with various glass/material types and systems (curtain walls, spandrel panels, skylights, etc.)
- Install drape walls, skylights, incline glazed installations and aluminum store fronts
