Health & Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall Safety Program, implementing existing programs and policies
• Have good written and oral communication skills
• Collaborate with management and supervisory staff to develop and implement new programs and policies, develop and modify safe work practices
• Advise management and supervisory teams on health & safety questions and issues, keeping records
• Verify ongoing compliance with programs and policies
• Supply orientation to new employees and training to employees as required
• Assist with workplace inspections, Workplace Health and Safety inspections, accident investigations, etc.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role in manufacturing
• Related education or certifications are an asset (CHSEP designation)
