International Writers' Residency in Helsinki at Villa Kivi - ONGOING

Villa Kivi, located in the Linnunlaulu villa area in central Helsinki, is a creative home for writers. Operated by the Villa Kivi Foundation, it offers an international writers’ residency program.

Professional writers, authors, and literary community members are eligible. A working plan with a literary project is required. Visa applicants must obtain their own visa for Finland.

Residency Options

• Aleksis Studio: One-month residency (1–2 persons)
• Eino Studio: Two-week residency (1 person)

Application Details

• Ongoing submissions, decisions made within one month of receipt.
• Open periods available in spring and autumn 2026.
