Opportunity Description
Junior Mechanical Engineer (Mineral Processing)
Location: Gauteng
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and development of mechanical equipment used in mineral processing plants (e.g. conveyors, crushers, mills, screens, pumps, and piping systems)
- Support senior engineers with technical drawings, layouts, and 3D modelling
- Participate in project execution from concept through to commissioning
- Conduct site visits for inspections, data collection, and troubleshooting
- Assist with maintenance planning, equipment upgrades, and performance optimisation
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including process, electrical, and project engineers
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering best practices
- Compile technical reports, documentation, and specifications
