We have an excellent opportunity for a Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant to join our clients residential and respite care team at their outstanding CQC care home in West Wickham.

About the Role
 As Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant, you will work across multiple teams by providing support on a day to day to basis and your responsibilities will include:

Laundry

  • To ensure an efficient daily laundry service for residents’ personal clothing and occasional other care home linen. To collect items in a timely manner, liaising with the nursing and care staff, residents’ personal laundry from each occupied residents’ room
  • Ensure that infected clothing is treated separately from soiled clothing, from the receptacles used for its collection, to the separation, sluicing and laundering of said items
