Lead Hand - Production

We are hiring a full-time lead hand in the production department with our manufacturing client in Vaughan, ON

Position Responsibilities

• Able to supervise and coordinate the production activities of 10+ workers engaged in the machining of metals such as copper, bronze, aluminum, and tin.
• Have mechanical aptitude, considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade, good work history and good housekeeping habits.
• Able to understand the fitting, assembling, and welding processes using the designated jigs and fixtures.
• Able to read complex technical drawings
• Experience with multiple types of metal (mild steel, various stainless steel alloys (304, 316, 409, 439, etc.) and understanding of the different properties and how they relate to each other for welding, forming, etc.).
