Purpose of the Position

The NWU School of Music (Potchefstroom Campus) seeks to appoint one new academic staff member to assume teaching, research, and community engagement responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach practical contemporary commercial music (CCM) singing modules that primarily include the genres of musical theatre, pop, and jazz.
• Musically direct the CCM vocal ensemble.
• Teach CCM voice pedagogy and other areas of interest.
• Collaborate and build effective relationships for successful model delivery.

Research Supervision:

• Provide supervision at the undergraduate, honours and masters level.

Research Entity:

• Research in any area of the discipline.
• Contribute to the vision and mission of the MASARA research entity.
