Job Summary

The School Librarian is responsible for managing the school library, fostering a love for reading, and supporting students and teachers by providing access to a variety of educational resources. The librarian ensures the library functions as an effective learning space, promotes literacy programs, and integrates technology to enhance research and learning.

Key Responsibilities

Library Management & Organization:

• Maintain an organized, updated, and accessible collection of books, digital resources, and reference materials.
• Develop and implement library policies, procedures, and borrowing systems.
• Classify, catalog, and label new materials according to standard library practices.
• Ensure the library is well-maintained, welcoming, and conducive to learning.
