Licensed Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders and prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper use, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to pharmacy practice.
• Maintain accurate patient records, inventory levels, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Provide immunizations and other health services as permitted by state law.
• Stay updated with new medications, therapies, and pharmaceutical developments.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all medications.
• Address insurance issues and help patients navigate coverage questions when needed.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
