Opportunity Description
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders and prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to pharmacy practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records, inventory levels, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Provide immunizations and other health services as permitted by state law.
- Stay updated with new medications, therapies, and pharmaceutical developments.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all medications.
- Address insurance issues and help patients navigate coverage questions when needed.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
