Opportunity Description
:
Manages and motivates the track maintenance work force to obtain maximum productivity. Adheres to the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement including administering corrective disciplinary action, as necessary. Establishes overtime plan and vacation coverage, etc., and monitors for compliance. Ensures all maintenance and equipment is consistent with applicable safety and established standards in accordance with FRA and NJ TRANSIT regulations. Interacts with both the Mechanical Desk and Transportation Department to coordinate proper equipment manipulation, shop moves and emergency repairs to maximize service to NJ TRANSIT’s customers.
