The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation services to our clients. The role involves working primarily with cloud-based accounting systems, with occasional paper-based records (lower than 10%). Experience with tax returns is desirable, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio of clients, using cloud-based software (e.g. Xero and Dext)
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) regulations
• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Requirements

• Solid experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero)
• Strong understanding of VAT, bookkeeping principles and accounts preparation
