Manager, Shariah Compliance (GETB)

Focus on working closely with the business units on regulatory and Shariah compliance matters, assesses and measures compliance and related risks, and monitors GETB's compliance control environment in order to ensure compliance with BNM, MAS, MTA and other related regulations.

The Job:

• Assist various departments on compliance and applications of regulations, Shariah principles and internal guidelines as well as operating processes.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines on a risk-based basis by performing regular and comprehensive Shariah review/compliance risk assessments and testing, identify gaps and prepare compliance review report to GETB management and Shariah Committee.
• Work closely with Shariah Unit to identify/ assess the potential SNC events based on the defined parameter. To investigate the SNC events, including monitor and validate the remediation action plans to ensure proper closure. <...
