Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Manage the cable manufacturing engineering department including process engineers, controls and mechanical engineers, and machine engineering technicians.
• Work with engineering teams to develop and standardize processes, equipment designs, control systems. Maximize design re-use of common process and equipment functions.
• Develop best practices for engineering workflows including stage gate review processes, root cause analysis tools, appropriate statistical methodologies, and lean six sigma principles.
• Work with cable product engineering to align to product roadmaps and requirements for new products to ensure manufacturability.
• Manage planning and execution of capital appropriation requests for development of new equipment, manufacturing capacity, and optimization projects.
