Mechanical Mining Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of underground mobile mining equipment and mechanical systems
• Create and optimise detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools
• Perform FEA analysis and simulations to ensure performance, reliability, and safety
• Design and integrate hydraulic and mechanical systems for heavy equipment applications
• Ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and durability
• Drive testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support production, commissioning, and field troubleshooting when required
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team

Minimum Requirements

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
