Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Wasauksing First Nation is accepting applications for a Nurse Practitioner. Under administrative direction and within the scope of practice a Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the provision of primary healthcare and supervision of the nursing staff within the clinic. The Nurse Practitioner assesses and diagnoses client health for acute illnesses, supports clients to manage chronic illnesses, and ensures referral if needed for all unattached clients. The Nurse Practitioner works with the client, other practitioners and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates and consults with members of an interdisciplinary team to address issues experienced by clients and within the community, and situations that are outside their scope of practice or exceed their knowledge and/or skill.
