Summary of responsibilities

This position will report to the Allied Health Manager and Director. The successful candidate will provide quality Occupational Therapy (OT) services within a client-centered framework. You will determine the physical, psychosocial, perceptual, cognitive and functional status of patients through administration of formal assessments. You will co-create with input from the interdisciplinary team, care plans to enhance overall patient function while in hospital and to support discharge. You will provide education to patients and their families to support timely, safe discharge to all community settings. You will provide support and education to Students and Interdisciplinary Team members as needed as an OT subject matter expert, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds as necessary, team meetings, and committee meetings.
