Operating Engineer B (3rd Class)

Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Mechanical Operations and Maintenance and/or the Lead Hand Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and economical operation and maintenance of all mechanical and associated equipment and services in their area of responsibility. The engineer works in the building(s) assigned where a Third (3rd) Class Operating Engineer Certificate is required by law or by the complexity of the operation and the critical services provided for the building environment and faculty.
