PRN Operating Room Technician 2 perform specialized work in assisting in the performance of complex surgical procedures in hospital operating rooms. Employees in this classification are responsible for preparation of operating rooms for surgical procedures; maintaining operational readiness of specialized equipment; serves as maintenance of operating room instruments and equipment following surgery.

Responsibilities

Uses a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education. Assists in the inspection and indicated cleaning of the room prior to the procedure. Assists in collection of necessary equipment and supplies utilizing the surgeons procedure card. Maintains aseptic technique throughout all phases of work.
