Patient Account Rep

Job Description
Day to Day: An employer is looking for a Patient Account Rep in the Self Pay department to work on a special project reviewing bad debt accounts. This person will be working queues of bad debt accounts to see why they got stuck, where they need to be assigned to, or if it needs to go to collections. All data this person finds will be put into a report that is intended to reduce collections accounts. They also work to resolve any issues related to billing and collections. This individual will also be doing back office work, reviewing accounts, doing audits, and jump on the phone queue when calls are high.

Billing and Payment Processing:
• Processing patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay balances.
• Ensuring accurate posting of payments to patient accounts.
• Working with patients to set up payment plans or negotiate repayment options.
