Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support a short-term Contract assignment in Newport Beach, California. This position will focus on completing a targeted payroll project involving retroactive pay calculations and detailed compensation analysis for a defined employee group. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, accuracy with reporting, and the ability to investigate and resolve calculation issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Perform retroactive payroll calculations to determine accurate earnings adjustments for approximately 70 employees.
• Review compensation data and calculate regular rates of pay using payroll records and supporting reports.
• Generate and analyze payroll data extracts to validate figures and identify inconsistencies.
• Complete manual calculations outside the payroll platform when needed to confirm pay accuracy.
