PhD Researchers in Critical Border Studies

The University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu seeks two Doctoral Researchers (PhD Students) in Critical Border Studies starting 1 October 2026. This three-year position aims to develop expertise in critical border studies within a research community focused on mobility, identity, and geopolitical change.

Ideal candidates will have a Master's or Licentiate degree in relevant fields. Responsibilities include conducting independent research and collaborating in project teams. English proficiency is required; knowledge of Finnish is not necessary.
