Phlebotomist - Per Diem Days

POSITION SUMMARY

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collection of specimens from patients.  The phlebotomist is also cross-trained to assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) when possible; assigned to assist in the specimen processing and filing. This person will report to the Phlebotomy Lead and Lab Manager Implements good public relations by representing the laboratory directly to patients, physicians and hospital staff at all times.  Assures quality of work, workflow, turn-around-time; assures accurate testing to support quality patient care; accepts suggestions and corrections and adjusts to changing situations.  This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital.
