Principal automotive systems engineer – networks, features & diagnostics

Role Purpose
The Senior / Principal Automotive Systems Engineer – Networks, Features & Diagnostics defines, specifies, and integrates in-vehicle networking, feature behaviour, and diagnostics for the BSUV platform. The role owns system requirements through feature/ECU/software requirements, develops CAN/LIN/Ethernet and UDS diagnostic concepts, and ensures integration readiness across Systems, Software, Integration, Validation, and Suppliers.
Acts as the technical focal point to keep requirements, interfaces, and implementation aligned through programme milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Engineering
Lead capture and clarification of system requirements for networking, features, and diagnostics.
Decompose into clear, testable feature/ECU/software requirements with acceptance criteria.
Maintain baselines, assumptions/constraints, and bidirectional traceability to verification.
Manage requirement changes with impact analysis and stakeholder alignment.
