Principal Structural Engineer - Building Structures

Responsibilities

• undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications
• Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions
• Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations
• Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures

Qualifications

• An engineering degree and hold Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE)
• A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes
• A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software
