Principal Structures/Highways Engineer

Our client, a leading entity in the public sector, is currently seeking a Principal Structures/Highways Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is central to maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the Highways services, ensuring contract compliance and leading a team to deliver public realm projects in accordance with all relevant specifications and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the collective leadership of the service, working with various stakeholders to deliver objectives and priorities.
• Uphold a working knowledge of relevant highways legislation including Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Highways Act 1980.
• Actively contribute to the integrated delivery, management and performance of the Highways and Public Realm service.
