Production Manager Job Duties

Purchasing Activities:

Create and update purchase orders

Maintain status of purchase orders (planned ship dates, in transit and delivered)

Resolve invoice discrepancies between Finance and Supplier

Order spare parts through Groupe to support small orders and occasionally for TCC

Determine ship methods

Update scheduled ship dates as necessary

Communicate shipping schedule changes to sales

Inventory Activities;

Return of non-conforming material to supplier

Update In Transit report

Maintain record of product scrapped and issue ticket number

Coordinate rework/update of material (by deployment) based on approved CO’s and TDN’s

Create work orders

Assist Warehouse in being certain product is correctly configured prior to shipment if updates are required

Manage inventory volumes to ensure agreed safety stock ...
