The Disability Rights Team (DRT) sits in the newly established Proactive and Preventive Monitoring and Interventions group, focussed on representing international convention-based monitoring obligations with international frameworks, monitoring, stakeholder engagement and reporting requirements. DRT leads the Ombudsmen's Independent Monitoring Mechanism (IMM) work under the Disability Convention. Our IMM work protects and promotes disability rights and monitors the government's compliance with the Disability Convention....
