Overview

Senior Solar PV Electrical Project Engineer — Fixed-Term (12 months).

Intro to client :

We’re supporting a leading renewable energy player to appoint a Senior Solar PV Electrical Project Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Role is South Africa site based with travel. Start : ASAP. Only open to south africans

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical scope from detailed design → commissioning → COD.
• Produce / review SLDs, stringing, cable sizing, earthing & lightning, MV and protection coordination.
• Manage grid connection (utility liaison, self-build works), compliance, SCADAintegration.
• Compile ERs / specs / BoQs; review OEM datasheets (inverters / transformers / switchgear / relays); resolve TQs / CRs.
• Oversee FAT / SAT, site QA / QC, performance testing, as-builts and O&M handover.
