Recreation Aide/Assistant (Lifeguard)

Summary These positions are assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Naval Support Activity Nas Whiting Field. The primary purpose of this position is to perform lifeguard duties which involve the safeguarding of the lives of patrons of the indoor or outdoor pool located at NAS Whiting Field ***Current certification required*** Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Level 1 (NF-0189-01): Entry Lifeguard At this level the incumbent will be subject to closer supervision. The supervisor, lead, or Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) provide significantly more instruction, training and guidance for assignments, planning and carrying out assignments, and choosing provisions of applicable guidelines or regulations.
