Opportunity Description

The Role

NHS Lanarkshire’s Vaccine Service is seeking motivated Band 5 Registered Nurses to support the delivery of vaccinations across the life course, with a specific focus on the Baby Immunisation Programme.

You will provide person-centred, evidence-based care to infants, children, young people and adults, supporting the safe and effective delivery of national vaccination programmes.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver baby and childhood immunisations in line with national guidance and NHS Lanarkshire protocols
  • Provide vaccinations across all routine programmes (childhood, adolescent, adult and seasonal)
  • Complete clinical assessments, review vaccine histories and check for contraindications
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and carers, offering support and reassurance
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use relevant IT systems
