Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Job Summary:

• Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues.


• The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S).


• Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS & ACLS – Required.


• NRP - Required.


• AWHONN - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring - Required.
