Job Summary

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – Working with the Registered Nursing team to provide care to residents, lead nursing and personal care staff, and support the interdisciplinary care environment at Extendicare.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the interdisciplinary team and care providers to develop, review, and evaluate resident care plans.
• Provide leadership to nursing and personal care staff by planning, directing, supervising, and evaluating their work.
• Assist in orienting and training new team members.
• Coordinate nursing team’s resident care assignments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services to residents.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the provincial College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Compassion, professionalism, and respect for residents and colleagues.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
