Registered Practical Nurse (Temporary Full-Time Mixed Shift)

About the Position

Registered Practical Nurse – Temporary Full‑Time (approximately 5 months, possible extension) at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse in compliance with the Standards of Nursing Practice for RPN.
• Consult with Team Lead regarding changes in residents’ condition, adverse events, or as needed.
• Implement the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Monitor, implement and adhere to legislations, standards, policies and procedures of the LTC home.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with family members for timely updates and support.
• Maintain close working relationships with attending physicians, laboratories, agencies and hospitals to ensure timely and appropriate delivery of services to residents.
