Gearboxes Repair Technician will be responsible for mechanical disassembly, inspection and assembly of wind gearboxes. The technician will report to the Shop Operations Leader.

Responsibilities

• Exchange bearings and gears as per engineering drawings and remanufacturing specifications.
• Perform standard mechanical assembly procedures, rework, and repair of gearbox components and systems to drawing specifications, both in the repair shop and uptower.
• Repair and assemble WTG 750 kW, 1.5/1.6 MW and 2.x MW turbines.
• Maintain proper handling of GE tools and equipment.
• Work in tight areas, on ladders and scissor lifts, and in spaces greater than 4 m above the ground.
