Opportunity Description
Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries and maintaining the company's general ledger and third-party transactions, assisting in the design of controls for the company's SOX program. Responsible for ad-hoc accounting, internal controls, and regulatory/compliance, and technical research and analyzing accruals and performing reconciliations.
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
- Post journal entries
- Reconcile GL accounts, inclusive of, clearing any reconciling items
- Prepare various month-end schedules to assist with closing the books
- Prepare various quarter-end SEC schedules
- Prepare various quarter-end Call Report schedules
- Review GL accounts and wbs for reasonableness
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Assist with correcting problems discovered with the posting of loan activity
