Job Description
- Meeting with clients and other involved professionals at an early stage to agree on the project brief;
- Developing project briefs and working on these as the project progresses;
- Preparing planning applications and other regulatory application procedures;
- Preparing design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
- Assisting in the detailed design process and co‑ordinating design information;
- Preparing/updating tender documentation and construction drawings;
- Liaising with appropriate authorities (e.g. Planning enquiries and technical officers) to obtain statutory approval;
- Attending site visits and recording minutes/discussions;
- Assisting project architect in coordinating site issues;
- Producing and analysing detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used in construction;
