Opportunity Description
Primary purpose:Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Youth Services, Assistant Supervisor or Librarian, the Senior Library Assistant is responsible for providing exemplary customer service at designated Youth Services service points and throughout the library, as well as over the phone and by electronic means. This person plans and runs programs, suggests patron reading materials, and performs item retrieval tasks, patron and item data entry.
Supervision:
Works under the general direction of the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor of Youth Services. Works according to City policies, procedures, laws, and special directives.
Occasional immediate task direction of Library Pages, volunteers or less senior Sr. Library Assistants.
