As part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge to reach net zero carbon by 2040, AWS is committed to reducing carbon emissions across our infrastructure, and we are seeking a Senior Sustainability Engineer to drive carbon reduction in the design of our Data Centers across our rapidly expanding EMEA portfolio.
As a Mechanical Sustainability Engineer, you will work closely with the AWS Sustainability team and the Global Design Engineering team to reduce carbon intensity in current and future AWS data centers. You will create mechanisms to identify opportunities for carbon reduction and track their success. You will liaise with the Public Policy and Sustainability teams on upcoming legislation and initiatives. Our standard data center solutions are adapted to the many geographies in which we operate and our building materials, structures and equipment are adapted to that local environment, the materials available and the construction techniques and competencies in that market....
