**A Day in The Life Of:**

+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams on design of software for class I, II and III medical devices per software standards, e.g. IEC62304
+ Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring on software engineering and software reliability best practices to quality engineers
+ Evaluates designs for potential failure modes, assesses potential hazards and harms, prioritizes safety risks, identifies appropriate risk controls, and compiles evidence to demonstrate benefits outweigh product risks
