Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Officer to join the Port Elizabeth team,
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain SHE systems in compliance with:
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993)
- Environmental legislation and permits
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are implemented
- Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Maintain SHE records, registers, and statutory documentation
- Coordinate medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty requirements
- Ensure correct use of PPE and enforce site safety rules
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning
